The region West Palatinate
The West Palatinate is located in southwest Germany at the border to France. It consists of the cities of Kaiserslautern, Pirmasens and Zweibrücken as well as the districts of Southwest Palatinate, Kusel, Donnersbergkreis and Kaiserslautern. Around 520,000 inhabitants live in an area larger than the Saarland.
