With retail sales of just under 1 billion euros in 2018 and a catchment area of around 400,000 people, the City of Kaiserslautern is by far the most important shopping center in the region.

In Hauenstein, 40 kilometers to the east, the region’s long tradition of shoes is actively practiced. In Germany’s largest shoe outlet center are waiting around a million pairs of shoes in 36 stores to happy buyers.
