The Palatinate serves hiking enthusiasts a finely tuned hiking menu. Numerous Palatinate trails – all of which have been awarded a distinction – open up the beauty and diversity of the region. They range from half-day, day and multi-day tours to three long-distance trails.
Readers of the trade magazine trekking have chosen the Palatinate as one of the three most beautiful hiking regions in the German-speaking world in the “trekking award 2021”, and the Dahner Felsenland in the West Palatinate has also been named one of the seven premium hiking regions in Germany. Numerous huts and restaurants along the routes invite you to take a break. In small stores and with regional producers hikers fill the backpack with provisions.
