LYNX TRAIL
Between 2016 and 2020, a project was implemented with the aim of reintroducing lynx to the Palatinate Forest – as part of this, the lynx Gaupa was released and settled in the “Lynx Trail” area.
Gaupa was the first female lynx to settle permanently in Dahner Felsenland and have offspring here. The route of the 5.8-kilometre hiking trail leads through the Seibersbach Valley and the Moosbach Valley, where Gaupa and her offspring were often found. If you would like to find out more about lynx life, you are welcome to take a closer look at the eight information boards along the way.
