CHERRY TRAIL [Kirschroute]

The roughly 21-kilometer-long Cherry Trail connects the Glan river with Oster river in Saarland and connects to the Glan-Blies Trail.
The Cherry Trail joins the Glan-Blies Trail and starts at the old railway station in Schönenberg-Kübelberg. From there, the trail runs via Paulengrund to Dittweiler before reaching Frohnhofen. Behind Frohnhofen, you cross the Rhineland-Palatinate border for the first time and travel about three kilometres over Saarland soil. The tour continues along forest and farm roads to Selchenbach before reaching the Saarland destination of Osterbrücken. There, the cherry trail links up with the Saarland Cycle Route.
The tour takes its name from the numerous cherry trees in the valley of the Kohlbach at the beginning of the tour, which shine colourfully in spring.
