“PFÄLZER-LAND” CYCLE ROUTE
The 48-kilometer cycle route from Altenglan to Enkenbach-Alsenborn is very varied and can be easily combined with other tours.
This cycle route for the whole family shows the diversity of the landscapes and offers many interesting stops along the way. The starting point of this tour, which runs parallel to the Glan-Blies cycle trail as far as the Glan river, is the railway station in Altenglan. Once you have started the tour, you first reach Friedelhausen, then Niederstaufenbach and Oberstaufenbach. The route continues via Reichenbach-Steegen, Schwedelbach and Weilerbach to Hirschhorn. Shortly before Hirschhorn, the “Pfälzer-Land” cycle route and the Lautertal cycle route meet. In the direction of the Katzweiler open-air theatre, the trail continues via historic Otterbach with its signal box museum and motorbike museum, and Otterberg to Baalborn. From there, the next stop is Mehlingen, where you can visit the famous Mehlinger Heath [Mehlinger Heide], before ending the tour in Enkenbach-Alsenborn.
