QUEICHTAL CYCLE ROUTE

From the source of the Queich river in the West Palatinate to its mouth in the Rhine-Neckar region, the route of this tour runs – and almost exclusively downhill.
The varied cycle path begins at the river source of the Queich in Hauenstein and first leads via Wilgartswiesen to Rinnthal. Via Sarnstall, the path continues to Annweiler am Trifels, where it is well worth stopping to visit the small town and the castle. The route continues via Queichhambach, Albersweiler, the small winegrowing village of Siebeldingen and Godramstein to the centre of Landau. Leaving the town behind, you reach Ottersheim via Offenbach. From Ottersheim, the trail follows various forest paths to the outskirts of Bellheim. The last stretch along forest paths now leads to Germersheim, where the destination of the tour, the mouth of the Queich, is located.
