CASTLE CYCLE ROUTE
The challenging bike course connects the North Palatinate Mountains with the adjacent Hunsrück.
The approximately 30-kilometer-long Castle Cycle Route forms a connecting route between Frauenberg in Hunsrück and Thallichtenberg in the North Palatinate Mountains. The tour starts at the ruins of Frauenburg Castle. From here, the route follows the Nahe Cycle Path for a short distance to Kronweiler. Via Reichenbach and Heimbach it goes to Breitsesterhof before reaching the beautiful West Palatinate. Via Körborn, the bike path then leads to Lichtenberg Castle in Thallichtenberg, which is the destination of the route.
Both castles offer ideal excursion destinations and are well worth a visit with their scenery. In addition, there are several museums at Lichtenberg Castle, which provide information on various topics for young and old.
