LAUTERTAL CYCLE ROUTE

The Lautertal Cycle Route, about 36 kilometers long, is an easy and family-friendly tour from Kaiserslautern to Lauterecken am Glan.

The well-signposted cycle path starts at the main station in Kaiserslautern and leads along the Gartenschau to Otterbach, where various museums can be visited. After a short detour, the route continues via Katzweiler, Hirschhorn, Sulzbachtal and Olsbrücken to Wolfstein in the Nordpfälzer Bergland, where numerous sights can also be visited, such as the castle ruins of Alt- and Neuwolfstein. The idyllic path continues to the Veldenz town of Lauterecken, the destination of the cycle path. Due to the low gradient and the almost continuously asphalted surfaces, the path is particularly family-friendly. It can be shortened as desired, as the route runs along the Lautertal railway.
