BAVARIAFELS
The 44-meter high Bavariafels is located on the northeast slope of the large Rauhberg on the southern edge of the local community of Wilgartswiesen. In addition to the Bavariafels, the Wilgartswiesener Rauhbergpfeiler on the southwest slope of the 376-meter-high Rauhberg is another red sandstone rock suitable for climbing. An access to the rock is possible from the cemetery Wilgartswiesen as a starting point after crossing under the bridge of the federal highway 10. From here, a hiking trail leads parallel to the main road to the rock. For beginners as well as experienced climbers there are numerous possibilities and routes at the rock.
